Shortly after his parents died and Joseph was born, the family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in the winter of 1947-48. Their first house location in Regina was 1854 Toronto Street. As the years passed and the family was growing, they moved to 1777 Wallace St. in 1952. This house is one of the oldest homes in the City and is still standing today! Tax records indicate it was built in 1910. In 1919 it was the Capital Flour & Feed Co. owned by the Zaharik Family. It was rebuilt in 1920 and further construction of a double dwelling was completed in 1929. The Lomas Family rented from Jacob Schlotter. In 1959 the family moved to 1938 McIntyre St. In 1963, the Lomas Family finally resided at 2955 Athol St. in Regina. John (Jack) Joseph Lomas passed away 17 AUG 1972 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He is buried at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery at Regina. Valerie was born 25 NOV 1922 at Cedoux, Saskatchewan, and passed away 7 FEB 1993 at Regina.
